My main piece from this years Roskilde Festival in Denmark.

I tried to combine inspiration from two totally different bands The piece is inspired by Kraftwerk and Goat, two totally different bands who performed at this years festival. Kraftwerk has always been one of my main source of inspiration and Goat is one of my current favorite bands and my goal was to combine the minimal aspect of Kraftwerk together with the psychedelic influence from Goat. The first half is also is also done on the spot without a sketch, while the second half is based on a rough sketch.

Roskilde Festival, 1985.

Kind of a surprise to see Cohen in the prints! I must admit, I could not remember to have seen him live. But since I have several photos from the concert, I must have been there. My taste was more to swedish garage-rock back then...

Found a new bag of my old prints from back in time. Photos from the mid-eighties. Took a bit of time in photoshop to get rid of some of the dust.

The Green Wheel was a new attraction on the festival, part of that years "Green Footsteps" initiative. The 30m tall Ferris Wheel gave you a very nice view over Orange Stage and the field in front of it.

This photo was posted first time back in 2010. But Flickr hasn't created 1600 & 2048px wide display-sizes of photos uploaded before 2012, so I thought this was worth a re-post now together with the other RF09 stuff I have been uploading. It is also a new edit.

8 metres high and 15 metres long, the artwork rotates and with its 13 red neon letters it forms a clear message: Understanding.

The initial plan was to present the work last summer at the cancelled Roskilde Festival no. 50. Now, it lights up the darkness in Copenhagen as an artistic gesture to the public spirit we all show at the moment.

The piece is created by the world-famous and award-winning British artist Martin Creed, and it has previously been raised in Brooklyn, New York, with Manhattan's skyline as a backdrop.

Glad to meet all guys at the festival...peace yo!

These are nice, just remember - don't make eye-contact.
