the lovely Paige has sent even more beautiful jewelry for us to try on. the necklace fits nicely. i didn't even know that she was going to send earrings, it was such a surprise to see them, they are so beautiful, but unfortunately i discovered that Iðunn's ears are pierced like i remember barbies were. the hole goes into the head, not through the earlobe. that, i think, is due to Iðunn being one of the first ED's. i have seen on photos that the newer ED's have their earlobes pierced through so can wear these kind of earrings (as Els's Arya).

i lovelovelove peridot, i am not sure if the green stones on the earrings are peridot but it's my guess, and how fitting, because it's one of my favourite crystals!

Rose quartz heart and faceted 6mm rounds, white freshwater pearls and silver.

A beautiful and antique-style bracelet of pearls, rose quartz and beautifully antiqued filigree pieces with pink and white inlay, this bracelet is breathtaking. The piece is then finished off with a sturdy decorative toggle clasp.

Bracelet is 8-inches (20.5 cm) in length including clasp.

The Pink Quartz is a very tender stone, so he highlights unfailingly in your image your elegant and romantic quality, and even gives you the same mood.

Undecided whether to oxidise or not. Leaning towards leaving them as is because I just like the pale and delicate look of them together.

This is a mixed mineral specimen arrangement, most likely including:

Blue celestine / celestite — SrSO₄

The large rear cluster with pale blue-gray translucent crystals is likely celestine. The color, blocky/tabular crystal habit, glassy-pearly luster, and whitish matrix fit celestine well. Celestine commonly occurs in colorless to pale blue shades, has vitreous to pearly luster, and is relatively soft at Mohs 3–3.5.

Rose quartz — SiO₂

The pink rough piece at left-center is likely rose quartz. It shows the typical pale pink, massive, translucent appearance rather than distinct crystal faces. Rose quartz is pink quartz and is commonly sold as rough chunks, tumbled stones, beads, and cabochons.

Carnelian / orange chalcedony — microcrystalline SiO₂

The orange-red piece at lower left is likely carnelian, or possibly agate/carnelian chalcedony. The waxy translucence, orange-red iron-oxide color, and irregular fracture fit carnelian. Mindat defines carnelian as a reddish variety of chalcedony.

Clear to milky quartz / rock crystal — SiO₂

The clear-white pieces in the center and right foreground appear to be quartz, possibly rough rock crystal, milky quartz, or quartz fragments with internal fractures. Quartz is silicon dioxide, commonly colorless when pure, glassy, hard, and widespread in many rock types.

Drusy quartz or chalcedony-coated pieces

The beige-white sparkling fragments in the front and right may be drusy quartz/chalcedony: small quartz crystals coating chalcedony, agate, or matrix. Chalcedony is microcrystalline quartz, and agate/chert/carnelian are common related forms.

Confidence

Moderate. The visual IDs are consistent, but mineral identification from a photo is limited. The blue cluster is the one I would treat most cautiously: celestine is the best fit, but pale blue fluorite, calcite, or barite can look similar in photographs. A quick hardness check would help: celestine scratches easily compared with quartz; quartz will scratch glass.

Description

The image shows a still-life grouping of rough and crystalline mineral specimens on a white surface. The dominant object is a pale blue-gray crystal cluster in the rear, with overlapping translucent plates and blocky faces. In front are smaller specimens in contrasting colors: soft pink, milky white, clear, beige, honey-gray, and orange-red. Several pieces show glassy fracture surfaces, while others have granular or drusy sparkle.

The arrangement works visually because the minerals form a low arc from warm orange at lower left through pink and white into cool blue-gray at the rear. The white background emphasizes translucency, internal fractures, and mineral textures.

Discussion

This is a useful comparison set of macrocrystalline quartz, microcrystalline quartz, and a non-quartz sulfate mineral.

The quartz-family pieces include the rose quartz, clear/milky quartz, carnelian, and likely some chalcedony or drusy quartz. Quartz is hard, durable, and chemically simple: silicon dioxide. Its varieties differ mainly by crystal size, inclusions, trace elements, and structure. Rose quartz is massive pink quartz; carnelian is reddish chalcedony; chalcedony is a dense microcrystalline form of quartz.

The blue celestine is different chemically and physically. It is strontium sulfate, softer and heavier than quartz, and generally more fragile. That matters if handling or cleaning it. Quartz can tolerate more abrasion; celestine should be kept away from water soaking, acids, ultrasonic cleaning, and rough handling.

Hoping to get these identified!

>> Left to Right >>

Unknown Agate, Amazonite, unknown lightweight macrocrystalline var. chalcedony white stone, two Rose Quartz besides it, Carnelian Agate, Sodalite.

What's Unknown: Notes:

*The white stone besides the two Rose Quartz is a much lighter than any similar sized tumbled stone I have-- almost as if it was denser plastic.

*Not sure about the very last stone on the right. Although I included it with the Sodalite group, it has a more cloudy structure, absence of streams, and I can't tell if the reddish brown is due to possible heat treatment or inclusion of another mineral substance.

edit: I believe the reddish rusty color on the sodalite in question is pyrite inclusion!

Steven Universe and Rose Quartz from Steven Universe

Tumbled nuggets of garnet stones linked to shimmering pink disks of rose quartz and decoratively designed gold plated beads grace this handmade golden bracelet where each and every link has been hand-turned with care.

This beautiful gemstone bracelet is then finished off with a matching toggle clasp.

Bracelet is 8.2" (21 cm) in length.

This is a beautiful example of reticulation and the bumps were added to create a moonlike surface, by dropping silver beads made from remnants of the wire onto the silver panels.

Great fun to make and simply stunning to wear.

i took a rose quartz cab and set it with a fancy wire and square, patterned wire and then added a dangle ... the dangle is a circle of hearts that make a pentacle in the center ...

I'm liking this piece too much....to the point of keeping it ;p A sterling silver, flexible choker has been transformed into a gem studded neckpiece with the careful addition of a myriad of gemstones and colours. Perfect for a spring wedding (if you live Down Under) because the colours are reminiscent of springtime blooms. Rose quartz, amethyst, citrine, peridot, green amethyst, garnet, multi coloured tourmaline, freshwater pearls, moonstones.....these are the flowers that form the garland. I'm so loving it!!!
