The Giant's Quoits are located outside Rosenithon near St Keverne. They are a natural rock formation similar to the Cheesewring Rocks near Minions on Bodmin Moor. They were created by the elements wearing away softer granite to create a tor. However, they are not in their original location having been moved from Manacle Point by the St Keverne Stone Company during the expansion of Porthoustock Quarry.

A pub and a shop and a bus service. About 15 minutes from Rosenithon where the coast path takes an inland route.
It wasn't immediately obvious if this sunrise was going to be worth getting up for. The weather in Cornwall can be unpredictable, however, as storms move in from the Atlantic.
Having dithered over the decision we nearly missed a gentle sunrise. This was taken in Godrevy Cove, a small beach near Rosenithon on The Lizard in Cornwall. At each end of the beach are large quarries but the beach itself is unspoiled with jagged rocks off shore.

A small beach near Rosenithon and next to Dean Quarry. The jetty for loading the rocks quarried here can be seen but I don't think it has been used for some time.

The village also has the Old Lifeboat House and around the turn of the century, the local men were true heroes in their attempts to save many a life from the shipwrecks on the Manacles a formation of rocks off the coast at Godrevy Cove near Rosenithon. The building has now been re-furbished into a modern community hall.
