I do not have a studio space....oh, how I wish I did. I do the majority of my design, cold connection, and finish work at this bench....and my heat work at a second bench out in the garage. There is a lot of back-and-forth...but that's o.k. I'm grateful to get to do what I do, no matter how small the space. Someday I will build a studio, but until then...I will continue to love my creative corner.
Rosecut yellow Tourmaline, Picture Agate with a 'double eye'. Sterling silver. Other than the chain and the clasp, all elements were drawn and sewn from silver sheet by me.
Rosecut rainbow moonstones set in 22k gold, accented in a lovely way by my blackened sterling bands.

This is the wax I carve dto use in making the mold for the rings. The rings are not for wear, some have thought I'm offering wax as a stylish new material. I am not :)
Now in a box made from an old wooden box which contained a strange piece of Victorian apparatus for pleating fabric.

I've fallen in love with the simplicity of the rose cut. I set out to carve a set of organic, fluid rings featuring cabochons. Here it is, for fall 2010, soon to be offered in Argentium silver and 14k white, rose and yellow gold.
Offered in rose gold, chocolate diamonds,
Oalladium, Tsavorite Garnet
and yellow gold yellow or pink sapphires.
