This is the wax I carve dto use in making the mold for the rings. The rings are not for wear, some have thought I'm offering wax as a stylish new material. I am not :)
Now in a box made from an old wooden box which contained a strange piece of Victorian apparatus for pleating fabric.
Taken with Panasonic 20mm f1.7 lens on Panasonic G1.
The three pendants are set with old-cut and bullet garnets; the centre stone is a hiddenite and the black stone above it is a black rose-cut diamond.
I've fallen in love with the simplicity of the rose cut. I set out to carve a set of organic, fluid rings featuring cabochons. Here it is, for fall 2010, soon to be offered in Argentium silver and 14k white, rose and yellow gold.
