Now in a box made from an old wooden box which contained a strange piece of Victorian apparatus for pleating fabric.

I was cutting through a small selection of spessarties using this Rose Brilliant design. These two stones represent the color range for Tanzanian spessartite & I thought they'd make an interesting image together. In person, the inclusions are not distracting when held at arm's length -- all you see is color & sparkle.
The stones measure 6.2mm and 6.3mm, they are about 1.1ct each.
I do not have a studio space....oh, how I wish I did. I do the majority of my design, cold connection, and finish work at this bench....and my heat work at a second bench out in the garage. There is a lot of back-and-forth...but that's o.k. I'm grateful to get to do what I do, no matter how small the space. Someday I will build a studio, but until then...I will continue to love my creative corner.
