I recently found the diagrams of this lovely origami Rose-Box. Always a joy to give it away as a gift, no matter what occasion. So I folded three versions with different paper and size, they look the same and yet also different. It's great to have a big choice of different kind of paper to fold with, but sometimes it is also hard to choose.

This beautiful model was taught to me by Uschi in the very last hours at our Prien-meeting.
The Rose Box was for a very long time on my “to – do – list”.
Now finally I made it :))!
And as you can see, I dared to take one of Hillis wonderful painted papers for this beauty!
It was a wonderful experience to fold with this painted acrylic paper. It was fantastic: all folds are very precisely to crease and the box has a wonderful stability!!
Hopefully you also do find the result beautiful.

Assembled without glue
I wanted to dress it up as a Rosebox 1887 at first, but that would overcomplicate it a bit too much.
Oh yeah, and I also started my job at Krebs Customs.

From hexagons.
Left one is the original model, as diagrammed by Vicente Palacios in his book Papiroflexia basica.
Also diagrammed here under the appellation hexagonal rose box.
Right one is a variation I designed, it makes this model not less a crystal but more a box.
It needs a 1/12 grid, which isn't complicated since in the original model you already precrease the hexagon in 3rds.
