As someone who has barely built a box in 10+ years of SL I'm really in awe of anyone who spends time and effort here creating anything.
So given that the room service at The Lotus Palace took two days to create, the whole project must have been a mammoth undertaking.
I'm currently staying at the Lotus Palace Hotel, review out next week

The road to our library is blazing with fall color. This is the kind of blaze we like to see versus the flames that are wreaking havoc in our beloved state at the moment. So far, we've been safe, only having to endure long stretches without power.
Living without power at home is a little like "Glamping"--a trendy new fad in California meaning "glamour camping." Folks go to a private campground that is set up with tents that include internet and cozy beds complete with room service. The campgrounds usually have private showers, restaurants, and well stocked stores--nothing like the old days, where we slept outside on the ground and came home dirtier than dirt itself.
I absolutely don't know what any of this has to do with autumn in my little town, but we're all getting a little dingy here these days.

After arriving at our swanky hotel in Paris - it was lovely.
Sadly, we're back in snowy Glasgow now. I'll be uploading my photos over the next couple of days, as I'm pretty stressed out again (after only one day back! ARGH!) about work and the usual flat stuff so concentrating on photos is hard! Have put up a few from the day we got there though for starters :)

Mailed from Albuquerque, NM to Mrs. Harry McCormick of Emden, Illinois on November 15, 1962:
Dear Grandma,
We are in this motel tonight. it has a nice playground. Saw some cotton fields today and picked some. We'll see the mountain and desert tomorrow. I am getting ready for bed. Having a nice time.

You can just make out the sails of the Sydney Opera House in the background. The birds must rely on room service breakfast left overs. But it's not good for them.
Tuesday 27th of January 2009. After being awake almost the whole night, room service is what helps you through the rough times. And rough they were in the afternoon, red fountains out of my knee, which is "quite normal" according to hospital staff I phoned. Hm, fortunately it stopped but left a mess.
