Open Gardens Day -

Looking down over the roof tops to Borth y Gest, whilst walking around all the gardens.

Was showing a client the rooftop of a new building at Hudson Yards today. This was our first look as we stepped off the elevator. So funny.

This is a rental building and this rooftop is quite spectacular.

Florence, Italy....pic taken in the evening, from the terrace of our wonderful Airbnb rental.

Looking west from the Westfield Mall's rooftop eating area, as a fog bank comes over the distant hills. This perspective reveals many San Francisco landmarks that aren't often seen all at once. I've labeled a number of them in the photo, but one of particular interest that I didn't know of before is McAllister Tower.

As per Wikipedia: "McAllister Tower Apartments is a 28-story, 94 m (308 ft) residential apartment skyscraper at 100 McAllister Street in San Francisco, California. The property is owned and operated by the University of California, Hastings College of the Law. The tower includes mixed-use offices on various floors, and the Art Deco-styled "Sky Room" with a panoramic view on the 24th floor." The building has a fascinating history, that will be sure to interest historic architecture buffs.

From this perspective, one can sense the idealistic vision of beauty and unity-in-diversity that comprises the essence of San Francisco. Now if only the reality on the streets can fully match that high ideal...

Snapped this from the rooftop of the Duomo di Milano, and honestly… how iconic is this view? From the intricate marble spires to the quirky charm of the Torre Velasca in the distance, Milan knows how to blend the past and the future like no other city.

Every corner tells a story — you just need to look up. Or better yet, climb up. 😉

A breathtaking interplay of light and shadow highlights the intricate details of Milan’s Gothic masterpiece. Every spire, arch, and carving tells a story of devotion and artistic excellence. 🏰✨

Snapped this architectural gem from the rooftop of The Square Hotel in Milan, right on Via Alberico Albricci.

Every detail of this historic building screams elegance – from the statues chilling harder than I do on weekends to the rooftop that looks like it belongs in a renaissance drama. 🎭

Swipe to zoom in and say “ciao” to Milan’s charm in every corner. 🇮🇹🌆

From the top of Claremont bank, Shrewsbury, Shropshire, U.K.

On top of the Milano Duomo, a smog-covered cityscape mixes with ancient towers and saints.

captured from our hotel room as dawn breaks over the rooftops of paris, this image tells a story of quiet charm and age-old character. the soft morning light touches worn wood frames and the weathered metal of an old parisian window, casting a shadow of a streetlamp like a silent sentinel across the roof. each detail, from the faded texture to the gentle edges, seems to hold a secret, an echo of artists who once wandered these streets, inspired by the same view. this is a still tribute to the history and poetry lingering in the rooftops of montmartre.

Still reminiscing about my trip to Italy last year and still so many photos to sort and post!

This is the view of Grottaglie from the terrace of Mimmo Vestita Ceramics . . . it was incredibly hot day (which you can read about here) and even hotter on this rooftop but the views over the town were spectacular and it was strewn with a whole range of glazed ceramics which made for the most wonderful photos!

The green bud like shaped ceramic objects you see here on the right, are called pumi. They adorn the balconies and terraces of the homes in the old district and in most cases they are placed in pairs at either end of the balconies. They are hand made and appear in a variety of colours and shapes depending on the artist or request by the family commissioning them.

The word Pumi is derived from the Latin word 'pomum' meaning fruit and they are a symbol of new life and prosperity. They protect the house from evil which is why each family has a set and why they are are also proudly handed down from one generation to the next.

A vibrant view from the rooftop Garden at 120 Fenchurch Street, capturing London’s iconic skyline. The Gherkin (30 St Mary Axe) stands proudly in the centre, surrounded by the striking silhouettes of the City’s modern skyscrapers. The geometric structure of the garden frames the scene, blending urban architecture with green space and offering a unique perspective on London’s ever evolving cityscape.

Another incredible end to the day, a lovely memory from a previous winter-time visit to Italy and its capital city. As seen from the roof top of our hotel during a misty twilight.

Catching Milan’s heartbeat from above! This majestic clock, framed by statues that look like they’ve been waiting centuries just to strike a pose, is pure art. ️

Is it just me, or do they look like they’re arguing about whether it’s coffee time or aperitivo hour? 😂☕️🍹

Old-world charm in the foreground, futuristic skyline in the back – Milan really knows how to mix it up! 🇮🇹✨

Spotted: The “Three Towers” doing their thing in CityLife, while the golden dome of history holds it down in the front.

This city doesn’t just serve fashion—she’s got layers.

☕ Perfect spot for an espresso and a skyline daydream.

I had the extraordinary opportunity to access the rooftop of a tall building at 4th Avenue and H Street today. This 3 shot panorama looks east across 4th Avenue towards the Chugach Mountains.

A magic wide angele view of Oslo from today

Last year I had the chance to visit one of the most spectacular viewpoints in Berlin. It is the roof top terrace of the Park Inn by Radisson at Alexanderplatz. In 120 meters over the streets, you have a fantastic view of the Berlin TV tower as well as various other famous buildings of the city like the Red Town Hall, St. Mary's Church, Reichstag Building and many more. The spot is quite hard to shoot, because there is a high railing and a fall protection net many meters before the actual edge of the building. That's why you have to go really high with the tripod.

Santa Maria del Fiore, simply known as Duomo is the center of Firenze. It's the tallest building in the city. You can never be lost in the city as long as you can see Duomo.
