I could barely look at these workers repairing a roof in downtown Ljubljana, Slovenia, as they were about 50 metres off the ground. The fact they were just standing there so casually was astounding to me.
People watching and I found some steps at the same time!

Lots of work going on in our Apartment buildings as there are roof repairs being made with Tar. Photo show the lift being used at the back of building from the parking lot.
I don't know what. kind of work has been going on in the last few days but it involved new updates on our apartment roof top with panels and Tar being used. Here is looks like new wiring also.
I'm always surprised that none of the roof repair guys wear any safety gear.

Construction workers on our Apartment roof laying new wiring and making roof repairs, with tar used and that stinks something awful!

Nicknamed the "Tree House," this place had a tree fall on it, and these shots are from the day a crew of framers took off the old roof...
I would join them. But then again, who would take the photos?
In a world painted with hues of wonder,
Where the sky meets the mountains in a gentle caress,
Where the rivers dance to the rhythm of the stars,
I find myself yearning to be part of it all.
With the wild winds as my melody,
I wander through the meadows, untouched by time,
Lured by the whispers of enchantment,
Drawn by the secrets of the untamed.
But amidst the beauty that surrounds me,
I am halted by a simple question, echoing in my mind,
If I step into those moments of sheer bliss,
Who shall capture them for eternity?
For there would be no one to hold the lens,
To encapsulate the brilliance of the sun's kiss,
No shutter to freeze the twinkle in a child's eyes,
No frame to immortalize the silhouettes against the horizon.
Who would press the button, capturing life's marvels,
Preserving the essence of what may fade with the wind?
Would I surrender this duty, this art divine,
To embrace nature's marvels as they unfold?
Oh, how I long to dive into the unknown,
To abandon the confines of man-made cages,
To swim with dolphins in the depths of the sea,
To scale the peaks where clouds dare to tread.
Yet a voice within reminds me of my purpose,
To seek and share the beauty that lies before me,
To become the lens through which others can marvel,
For what good is an experience if it can't be shared?
So I resist the temptation to blend with the spectacle,
And I choose to wield my camera like a brush,
Creating a tapestry of memories and fantasies,
A gift for those who wander through life.
In this realm of endless possibilities,
I crouch behind the lens, my heart pounding,
Patiently waiting for the perfect moment to unfold,
In these hands, I hold the power of eternity.
For though I may yearn to lose myself in the vista,
To become one with the ethereal canvas,
I surrender to the knowledge that my purpose,
Lies in capturing the fleeting essence of the world.
And so, I step back, framing the world with my eyes,
With each click, I witness a connection,
Binding the beauty of nature and mankind,
Preserving them for generations yet to come.
I would join them. But then again, who would take the photos?
In this dance between creator and creation,
I embrace my role as the silent observer,
The storyteller of life's extraordinary moments.

The roof and the broken siding is fixed. The last thing that needs fixing is the window. We ordered an Anderson Thermal Resistant window. It gets mighty hot up there but this window will greatly limit the amount of heat that can get into the loft. The window will go in shortly.

Flat roofs are known to be one of the most versatile options of roofing. Having a flat roof opens up design possibilities which other roof forms don’t do. The versatility of flat roofs create benefits, they allow the space to be made into a recreational space.
Flat roofs also offer practical advantages as well as visual. For example, it creates extra space. A roof area that is attached to a terrace can give your property another area of living space.
Flat roofs also allow for the indoor space to be utilised to its full potential. Slanted roofs create a slanted ceiling and cuts away space in your room. Having a flat roof installed is also a good solution to creating more space in the rooms of your property’s top floor.
Flat Roof Systems
You should consider the lifespan, cost, damage resistance, repair ability, flexibility breathe ability and any installation concerns before deciding on a type.
Felt – This material is one of the cheapest options and can easily be repaired if any damages do occur from things such as foot traffic in hot weather. Modern roofing felt also has good expansion and contraction properties.
EPDM – It is also lightweight, flexible, tough and water resistant. It can last for up to 50 years and the costs can be very competitive. Dependant on the layer underneath the EPDM, the vapour transmission will vary, however glued down EPDM has been found to breathe less than a torch on felt.
Fibreglass – This can be a great option as GRP is factory made with trims and can be dyed to any colour. The lifespan of a fibreglass roof is usually around 25 years. This is incredibly resistant to most damages once cured and can be repaired with virtually no evidence of any damage.
Flat Roofing Contractors
Because flat roofs can lose a lot of heat, they need to be well insulated. Insulation also helps prevent any leaking, which in turn stops the materials from deteriorating over time. When you are replacing a flat roof you should also consider getting insulation installed for a more economical solution.
We can help you with all of your queries and concerns, whether you want to get a flat roof installed or you are looking to replace the material on top.
