Once I spotted these two Rhinoceroses, I turning the car around and reversed up to within about thirty meter's, so I could get a quick getaway, as I have been charged twice before. They have ignored other cars, and selected me to attack, that's why I always wear brown trousers when on safari! lol.

She floats in silent as a ghost, the female of the 'Two Ronnies" at my mate Kev's magical tawny owl hide. A totally free living wild bird, and now a mother too. khrimages.co.uk/
Amazing to see this wild bird so close, relaxed and going about its business. My friend Kev has carefully created an opportunity to view tawny owls, badgers and other wildlife by soft lighting, without disturbance or creating dependence.
Ronnie, the male tawny owl, came and went calmly and silently throughout the evening, apart from one surprising and slightly disconcerting episode where he gave a series of very loud strangulated calls right behind our hides, sounding more like a cockerel than an owl!

A small cascade on Ronnie's creek, in the Cradle Mountain National Park.
After a stiff climb up to Marion's lookout, we decided to take the path down past Crater lake and Ronnie's creek. The landscape around Marion's lookout is bare and rocky, with low alpine plants. Ronnie's creek was completely different - a lush green,shaded valley with a lively creek running over multiple cascades and waterfalls.
A good excuse to take a break.
