Bernini (Fontana dei Quattro Fiumi) versus Borromini (Sant'Agnese in Agone)

Cuentan que la rivalidad entre Bernini y Borromini hizo que el primero realizara esta escultura, incluida en la fuente de los cuatro ríos, con una pose de protección ante el posible derrumbe la iglesia de Santa Inés en Agonía ejecutada por el segundo.
