The interior, in spite of the actual dimensions, arouses in the entering an expansion effect, due to the choice of placing the oval of the plant in the direction of the width. The central space, covered by the dome, is therefore large and luminous, due to the numerous windows applied to the dome.
The dome resembles the elliptical shape, as well as the lantern, is flooded with light and crossed by ribs that extend downwards, suggesting the image of a sun. Each segment is decorated with hexagonal drawers to degrade their dimensions going towards the top and transmit a sense of great lightness and ascent in which the architectural structures seem to swell and dissolve into an immaterial dimension The dome embellishes groups of playful cherubs that support garlands on which the ribs of the dome seem to lean.

L'interno, nonostante le reali dimensioni, suscita in chi entra un effetto di dilatazione, dovuto alla scelta di disporre l'ovale della pianta nel senso della larghezza. Lo spazio centrale, coperto dalla cupola, risulta quindi ampio e luminoso, per via delle numerose finestre praticate all'imposta della cupola.
La cupola riprende la forma ellittica, come anche la lanterna, è inondata di luce e percorsa da costoloni che si allargano verso il basso, suggerendo l'immagine di un sole. Ogni spicchio è decorato con cassettoni esagonali degradano le loro dimensioni andando verso la sommità e trasmettono un senso di grande leggerezza e ascesa in cui le strutture architettoniche sembrano gonfiarsi e dissolversi in una dimensione immateriale. Impreziosiscono la cupola gruppi di cherubini giocosi che sostengono ghirlande sulle quali sembrano appoggiarsi i costoloni della cupola.

The church of Sant'Andrea al Quirinale is a Roman Catholic place of worship,
The small church was built between 1658 and 1678 to a design by Gian Lorenzo Bernini, thanks to the commission of Pope Alexander VII and cardinal Camillo Pamphili, nephew of Pope Innocent X.spiciente the facade of the Manica Lunga of the Quirinale palace.
The façade opens onto a small parvis dilated by two concave wings, which illusionistically enlarge the space on the model of the colonnade of the basilica of San Pietro in the Vatican, also by Bernini. The façade is completed by a semicircular staircase and a monumental portico, with the coat of arms of the Pamphili (built by students) supported by Ionic columns, which covers the façade window.
The centralized plant is oval [1], with the major transverse axis; the tiny dimensions are so dilated in a wide breath. The two side apses are not occupied by chapels but by supporting elements, so as to direct the gaze directly on the main altar, consisting of a chapel in which the altarpiece is illuminated by a source of hidden light, according to a borrowed expedient from the theatrical scenography that Gian Lorenzo Bernini had already used other times .. The two wings of the churchyard in the project of Bernini leaned more towards the Quirinale palace, giving that baroque effect, already experimented with the colonnade of Piazza San Pietro, of the embrace of holy mother Church of Christendom.
The subsequent extension of the road led to the reduction of these wings, which today appear backward compared to the staircase, thus causing the project to lose its original function. The small dome is decorated with gilded coffers and the walls are covered with precious marble marbles.

La chiesa di Sant'Andrea al Quirinale è un luogo di culto cattolico di Roma,
La piccola chiesa fu costruita tra il 1658 e il 1678 su progetto di Gian Lorenzo Bernini, grazie alla commissione del papa Alessandro VII e del cardinale Camillo Pamphili, nipote di papa Innocenzo X.ospiciente la facciata della Manica Lunga del palazzo del Quirinale.
La facciata si apre su un piccolo sagrato dilatato da due ali concave, che ampliano illusionisticamente lo spazio sul modello del colonnato della basilica di San Pietro in Vaticano, anch'esso del Bernini. Completano la facciata una gradinata semicircolare ed un portico monumentale, con lo stemma dei Pamphili (realizzato da allievi) retto da colonne ioniche, che copre la finestra della facciata.
La pianta, centralizzata, è ovale[1], con l'asse maggiore trasversale; le minuscole dimensioni sono così dilatate in un ampio respiro. Le due absidi laterali non sono occupate da cappelle ma da elementi di sostegno, così da spingere lo sguardo direttamente sull'altare maggiore, costituito da una cappella in cui la pala d'altare è illuminata da una fonte di luce nascosta, secondo un espediente mutuato dalla scenografia teatrale che Gian Lorenzo Bernini aveva già utilizzato altre volte.. Le due ali del sagrato nel progetto di Bernini si protendevano maggiormente verso il palazzo del Quirinale, dando quell'effetto barocco, già sperimentato con il colonnato di piazza San Pietro, dell'abbraccio di santa madre Chiesa alla cristianità.
Il successivo ampliamento della strada ha comportato la riduzione di tali ali, che oggi appaiono arretrate rispetto alla scalinata, facendo perdere così al progetto l'originaria funzione. La piccola cupola è decorata da cassettoni dorati e le pareti sono ricoperte da preziosi marmi mischi.

The Church of Saints Claudio and Andrea dei Borgognoni is located in the Trevi district a few steps from Piazza San Silvestro, the historic center of Rome.
In 1662 Francesco Henry built a hospital for the Burgundian colony present in Rome, to which a chapel dedicated to the two patron saints Andrea and Claudio was annexed. In 1729 the French architect Antoine Dérizet had the church rebuilt. on the remains of the old church.
The church has a two-sided façade, adorned in the lower part by a central portal and by the statues of the two patron saints Claudio and Andrea (this work by Luc François Breton). In the upper order we find a window and the crowning tympanum.
The Latin-cross interior is characterized by a hemispherical dome and stucco representation of the Four Evangelists, while on the main altar there is a marvelous terrestrial globe in bronze.

La Chiesa dei Santi Claudio e Andrea dei Borgognoni è situata nel rione Trevi a pochi passi da Piazza San Silvestro, centro storico di Roma.
Nel 1662 Francesco Henry fece costruire un ospedale per la colonia dei borgognoni presente a Roma, al quale fu annessa una cappella dedicata ai due Santi protettori Andrea e Claudio. Nel 1729 l’architetto francese Antoine Dérizet fece riedificare la chiesa. sui resti della vecchia chiesa.
La chiesa presenta una facciata a due ordini, ornata nella parte inferiore da un portale centrale e dalle statue dei due santi protettori Claudio e Andrea (questa opera di Luc François Breton). Nell’ordine superiore troviamo una finestra e il timpano di coronamento-.
L’interno a croce latina è caratterizzato da una cupola emisferica e dalla rappresentazione a stucco dei Quattro Evangelisti, mentre sull’altare maggiore è presente un meraviglioso Globo Terrestre in bronzo.

...love for God cannot be divorced from love for one’s neighbor; so Jesus also quoted Leviticus 19:18 and put it on the same level as the Shema. All of the Law and the Prophets hang on both of these commandments. We might add that the teachings of the Epistles in the New Testament agree with this statement. If a man really loves God, he must also love his brother and his neighbor (1 John 3:10–18; 4:7–21). If we have a right relationship with God, we will have no problems with His commandments. Love is the basis for obedience. In fact, all of the Law is summed up in love (Rom. 13:8–10). If we love God, we will love our neighbor; and if we love our neighbor, we will not want to do anything to harm him.
