Here's a bit of fun for a lockdown Sunday... The original photo of autumn leaves is in the first comment. It got converted to huge pixels in a drawing app I have, see below, and the rolled up in the RollWorld App.

Playing with an old photo (of the Venice lagoon seen from the air) and some rolled up and re-coloured shots of a water droplet on a CD!

In this first of a new series of geometric abstracts I am revisiting my minimalist roots using a bold and bright jewel-like color palette.
I see a bearded face, hands either side coming out of huge sleeves....

I’m still having fun with the RollWorld app. Even though this looks mirrored it’s entirely rolled! Rod's original, posted a few weeks ago, is in the first comment.

Backstory: This piece is one of a dozen in my Fragments series, some of which are still in development. The series is premised on the notion that we are all made whole by God, but that we only ever live our lives in fragments, inches to time lived, then remembered, then remade. Each of the pieces in this series are made of fragments from other images, like the impressions, and knowledge, and friendships, and experiences that comprise our individual lives.
Each has a background built for it, then a square image collection of fragments superimposed over it.

I know, this is mad! It started out as colours reflected in a CD. Then it got wound up in the RollWorld app, then mirrored and the colours changed, the rolled up again. Did I leave anything out? Well, make of it what you will and HSS!
This will be our last post for a bit, see you all soon. We’ll drop in when I can while we are on our travels.
iPhoneography on iPhone 7 Plus. Pano-sabotaged image of old Prescott hotel. Loaded the image into RollWorld and played with the slider bars. Then I tweaked it for color and contrast in Aviary and Instagram apps.
The Panorama Tower at Croome, rolled up in the RollWorld app.
See mosaic in the first comment for the location.

“The Harder You See” is a composite work of portraiture in which I was exploring the idea that while we are each created as unique and distinctive persons we necessarily share a common humanity that binds us. Each distinguishing feature of this ‘character’ is from three different images, two male and one female, and they combine in a triune portrait that underscores the sacredness of life, the inherent dignity of the person, and the unique value of each human soul.
Original image from Pixite that I apped with Rollworld and edited in a beta version of #Hipstamatic 300.
