The Boeing bus
In a Shamrock world, dominated by Airbus, four Boeing 757's operated by ASL for Aer Lingus & the above one was extra special, EI-CJX with its unique Rolls Royce engines, seen above in July 2016.
CJX was the rebel of the four, having Rolls Royce engines, unlike the Pratt & Whitney's of EI-LBR, LBT & LBS & based in Shannon because of the higher fuel burn across the pond.
The last Boeing 757 in Aer Lingus colours, EI-CJX, operated by ASL bowed out of service in March 2020.
Previously a four strong fleet, reduced to just one with the arrival of new Aer Lingus A321LR's, EI-CJX St Boice was transfered from Shannon to Dublin & usually operated daily either to Chicago or Minneapolis.
Due to depart the fleet in May 2020, its demise was brought forward due to the Covid-19 virus & cancellation of flights between Dublin & the US.
EI-CJX - Saint Boice / Buithe
Last flight Minneapolis to Dublin EI 88 - 15th March 2020

The Rolls Royce Phantom was launched at the top end of the Rolls Royce range in 2003 and was the first model introduced during the BMW era.
The Phantom uses a unique chassis platform, body, interior, and retains traditional Rolls-Royce design cues. with a principally aluminium body. Final assembly, including all body, paint, wood, and leather work, is completed to each customer's individual specification at the Rolls-Royce plant in Goodwood, West Sussex. The Phantom is 1.63 m (64.2 in) tall, 1.99 m (78.3 in) wide, 5.83 m (229.5 in) long, weighs 2,485 kg (5,478 lb) and can accelerate to 100 km/h (62 mph) in 5.9 seconds
The rear doors are rear-hinged, a style commonly referred to as suicide doors, but called 'coach doors' by Rolls-Royce. Because of the rear-seating position in relation to the rear inner-door handles, buttons are mounted on both C-pillars which operate hydraulic motors in order to close the rear doors. An electronic lock prevents the doors from being accidentally opened when moving.
In 2005 an Extended Wheelbase version was launched at Geneva, 2007 saw the launch of the Phantom Drophead Coupe and the Armour Plated Phantom and in 2008 the Phantom Coupe was launched in Geneva.
Between model years 2007-12 the Phantom was also available as a Drophead Coupé a 2-door convertible version of the Phantom previewed by the 100EX design study, which Rolls-Royce revealed at the 2004 Geneva Motor Show. The Drophead Coupe was launched at the the 2007 North American International Auto Show with production commencing June 2007.
From 2008 to 2016, the Phantom was also available as a 2 door Coupe The design of the Coupé was previewed by the 101EX concept, which Rolls-Royce revealed at the 2006 Geneva Motor Show with production from the Summer of 2008
For the 2009 model year the Phantom and Phantom Extended Wheelbase were updated with, the front bumper was designed and integrated with a shallower grille, finished in stainless steel, LED door handle illumination, 21-inch cast forged aluminium alloy wheels, in either painted or part polished finishes, as standard, the audio visuals were updated, new front and rear door capings with integrated grab handles, new bi-directional double reading lights in the C-pillar, and climate control, volume control and electric window switches were relocated to a wood veneer panel in the door

Saw this amazing ride while at Cranbrook House & Gardens on Sunday. This 1965 Rolls-Royce Phantom V was quite a fabulous limousine. Used both as transportation of a wedding couple and photo prop.

"The Owner of This Car Said it Gets a Lot of Attention"
© Billy Wilson 2010
A Rolls Royce Phantom parked with it's Spirit of exstasy ornament retracted. I had to be quick shooting this one because I didn't want it to look like I was going to steal it. My dad told me about someone who lived in mining town north of the city called Wawa and that every now and then would drive down to the city in a Bugatti, I did not believe him for a while until I saw this Rolls Royce, and got to speak with the owner who said that they were from Wawa. They said that they have had this car for 3 years and they come down to this city regularly. I should have asked them if they also have a Bugatti but I was so excited by the presence of this car.
The lincense plate says "DIMON JOE"
About the Photo
*Camera: Canon EOS Digital Rebel XS *Lens: EF-S 18-55mm ƒ/3.5-5.6 IS *Shutter Speed: 1/80Sec. *Aperture Value: ƒ/11 *ISO: 100 *Focal Length: 43mm (68.8mm Equivalent in 35mm Film)
I shot this handheld and without a polarizing filter which is rare for me, but I needed a quicker shutter speed so I could shoot handheld. This is made from only one exposure since I didn't use a tripod, I opened the RAW file in Photomatix Pro and tone mapped it to my liking. I then used ACR to polish up the 16 bit TIFF and opened it in CS4 where I cloned out some distracting elements, burned the ground darker, and cropped the image slightly.

EXPLORED!
Rolls-Royce has used the Phantom name on full-sized luxury cars over the past century, and is the second longest-used automobile nameplate in the world after the Chevrolet Suburban. The Phantom is a low volume, hand-built limousine which, in earlier generations, was custom built to the customers desires & sometimes extravagant whims. As automobile manufacturing became more prolific, and vehicles from other manufacturers could be built in greater numbers and at reduced prices, the Phantom remained hand-built and production of individual models only began once the order was placed. The use of the name "phantom" is a long tradition of naming models after "ghosts". Earlier versions from Rolls-Royce consisted of the chassis and engine, then arrangements were made to customize the body and interior to whatever the buyer requested. The Phantom is popular with wealthy business people, royalty & celebrities who desire the best of everything, and want a car with exclusivity & elegance.
This Phantom was shot outside the Wynn Las Vegas in 2017.
Three bracketed photos were taken with a handheld Nikon D7200 and combined with Photomatix Pro to create this HDR image. Additional adjustments were made in Photoshop CS6.

It isn't the EWB version, but a custom made limo. I don't know who did it, but for me it looks nice. Spotted in front of Macy's in Manhattan, NY.
Blauw. Omdat het kan. Niet alleen op een enorme Drophead Coupé, maar ook op een gigantische Phantom. En dat levert toch een fraaie combo op in het 'Arabische' stadsdeel Knightsbridge.

Blue. Why not? Not just one huge blue Drophead Coupé, but also a gigantic blue Phantom. And that delivers a nice combo in the 'Arabic' part of London, what is called Knightsbridge.
