It was an honor to congratulate a former opponent who I had actually defended while playing basketball at Washburn in a couple games (we lost by a considerable amount both times), the Kansas Jayhawks' Tyrel Reed, on the Senate floor. Tyrel is a great basketball player, a great student and a great role model, who all Kansans can be proud of.

No other person or outside force has a greater influence on a child than the parent.Never underestimate our strength. We were born for a purpose and are blessed with the power to achieve it. Our children will follow our examples,not our advice. Every parents wants his son or daughter to be a diamond, as the crown of glory, crown of beauty and the royal diadem in the world is really a fantastic dream to every parents about their children.
Our children are not our children. They are sons and daughters of life's longing for itself. They come through us but not from us.And though they are with us.Yet they belong not to us.
Children are great imitators, so we should give them something great to imitate.
Let us try our level best to be in our children's memories tomorrow, we have to be in their lives today.
