Die Ostwand des Watzmanns erstreckt sich über eine Höhe von 1.800 Metern vom Königssee bis zum Gipfel der Watzmann Südspitze. Damit ist sie die längste durchgehende Felswand der Ostalpen, früher galt sie sogar als längste komplett durchkletterte Felswand der gesamten Alpen.

today is Sumardaginn Fyrsti, the first day of summer on the old Icelandic calendar (which only had two seasons, summer and winter), so i'm posting polaroids taken last summer, in August at Skálavík, just over the pass from the town i live in. Gleðilegt sumar!
