2017 Spring RoidWeek, day 6
These photos were taken especially for RoidWeek 0ct 2021.
I chose "animals in my house" as my theme.
When I was a chikd I had a simila horse which was lost in the years. A few years ago I found in a market this one which weems to be very similar to what I has. I soon bought it!

DAY 4
Polaroid land 220/choco80
i was reading a book
from the library
a Joel Meyerowitz book
titled Creating a Sense of Place
and upon finishing it
and seeing the little pocket
that once held the library card
with all the names
of the previous folks
who also checked out the book
(gosh how i miss that little card)
i knew i had to put a Polaroid
right there
right in there
and a Polaroid that was indeed
as the books title suggested
Creating a Sense of Place
and this place here
a childhood house
where i spent
all my elementary years
a place i get to go back to
from time to time
sometimes reluctantly
as my father retired here
a place where i remember
the two big oaks
that stood at this corner
draped with Spanish moss
i could reach out and touch those bearded trees
as i walked on the rooftop
the trees
are gone now
forever
my mother
is gone now
but just 1,000 miles from here
but the trees
are gone now
forever
Il n'est rose sans epines
This is a composition dedicated to my wife I made time ago with some old Polaroids.
PS: I finished my stock of film and thought for the last day to submit this one. It was a lot of fun being part of this week :-)

Instax soundtrack: Talking Heads - Artists Only (just look at the cover of this brilliant album and you will know why)
I wished to catch and give to feel the atmosphere so particular we find in my region during Christmas and New Year hollidays. The film Polaroid Blue was perfect for it, because with his almost unreal colors, he could glorify the enchantment of decorations and lights !
The Blue Project was initiated and created by "tripleZone" a Berlin based photographer. The project was published on the French website "Polaroid Passion"; see the announcement here www.polaroid-passion.com/galerie/triplezone/index.php?id=...
The 25 Blue's from the project are to be seen in the Polaroid Passion website Galerie

I don't normally do selfies, but here's an Instax double exposure selfie I did specially for 'Roid Week – my favourite time of year on Flickr!
For the rest of the year, if you want to see what I'm up to, the place to go is my Twitter, where I mainly tweet about my books & books in general, but also try to put up a Polaroid a day...

I was raised Catholic and baptized in the church at 4 when we lived in Hawaii. As a teenager I started going to a Christian church with a friend and was baptized again at 17, this time in the Pacific Ocean when I lived in Hawaii again. At 37, I performed my own bathtub baptism here in Georgia, just last week. Just in the root meaning, a ceremonial washing. Regeneration of Spirit. Now, for me, it has nothing to do with a church or accepting Jesus. I haven’t seen myself as a Christian since I was 18, and even then, didn’t truly feel so. Religion/Spirituality, it is a personal journey. What works for me may not work for you. Whatever guides you and helps you to be the best you, I’m all for that. Nature is my church. The laws and rules of Nature. I’m a humble observer. Always learning. Always discovering something new. Always in complete awe with Nature.
* I also had DAY 1 & 2 Polaroids. For whatever reason DAY 1 wouldn’t upload for me here on Flickr so I just uploaded on Instagram. Then I figured I’d just stick to Instagram then. But by DAY 3, there was no way I couldn’t share also on Flickr, where I began with Roid Week, where Roid Week began!
And thankfully all was well with uploading!
Happy Polaroid Week

Polaroid Week | Autumn 2020 | Day 1 | 1/2
Happy 'roid week everyone. Technology issues mean I'm a little more disorganised than I would like to be, and still in a little turmoil from moving house just before last year's Autumn week. But wouldn't miss it.
