I'm pretty excited to announce my first 'zine! It's truly a mixed media project w/ photos, drawings & words. It's an ode to Arizona and available now in my store: www.sol-exposure.com/product/arizona-magazine-pre-order/
This is the bleached and scanned peel of the previous Fuji instant photo. Careful bleaching with household bleach removes the coating off the back of the peel and produces a translucent negative after all the gunk is removed from the front and back. Don't get bleach on the front of the peel.
I scanned it as a slide, which renders it more or less correctly as a negative. This picture is sized a bit differently than the positive I previously posted because I have to cut a few mm off each of the long ends of the Fujiroid peels to fit them in my 4x5 scanning frame.
I have only recently gotten on to this process and I lament tossing my peels in the past. For one thing, the bleached negatives are far sharper than the instant positives and grainier at the same time. Take a look at the larger size of the positive and the negative and it's easy to see the difference.
I should also mention that it's about impossible to get the same color out of these as the original positive. It's really easy, though, to get all kinds of very nice expired Polaroid-like effects.
Too bad it's discontinued.
