I got a chance to see Roger play live for this first time in US Open 2014 semifinals. It was unfortunate that he lost to the eventual champion Marin Cilic. But boy! The feeling of seeing him play was ike music to my eyes!! The Photograph itself is not sharp enough but I guess the person in the picture makes up for it ;-)

Here's a shot of Roger Federer during the warm up for the Wimbledon Gentlemen's Final of 2005. Federer faced the USA No. 2 Andy Roddick for the second year running in 2005. After the extended four set battle of the previous year, Federer made lighter work of the match this time round, and was in near perfect form. He won the match 6-2, 7-6, 6-4 in about 1h 40m.
Taken with a Nikon F-501 SLR camera and 75mm-200mm zoom lens.

After two intense weeks of shooting at the Miami Open, and without getting much sleep, I'll have some time to catch up. I will review the backed-up files for all those images that slipped the fast editing process that news distribution demands these days.
Of so many great action shots I was able to capture during the event this is an image I absolutely love. No post-processing. I'm also posting it as a tribute to this outstanding champion.
It is also a special dedication to Jody Trappe. A first class photographer and perhaps the greatest fan Federer can ever have!
