Bledne Skaly (Dwaalrotsen)
San Francisco’s Seal Rocks rise from the Pacific Ocean surf just off the shore of Lands End as the sun begins to set on the western edge of the city.
All need is some sand, sea, surf & barnacle-clad rocks to keep me happy. A camera helps too :)
Happy weekend everyone!
OLYMPUS
Old lava fields cover the area towards the southern end of Lanzarote, where the sea meets Timanfaya Park. The sun was sinking behind me, under a bank of clouds and offering some great light.

... for a Peaceful 'Travel Tuesday'!
Loch Katrine, Trossachs.
This was taken from more or less the same location as the preceding shot. As much as anything, I was intrigued by the form and texture of the metamorphic rocks, trying to imagine the monumental forces which were applied to them in the metamorphosing process; the nearest rock, for example, looks more like a croissant than a rock!

This arch is located in the City of Rocks in Idaho. We were very excited to visit this location at this time of day. I knew I wanted the sunburst to top the arch, and I knew that I wanted the warm glow inside the arch to draw the viewer in. I wanted the viewer to know that we were not in Joshua Tree or someplace like that, so I carefully included the local trees because I find they are very specific to this park. So the tree is gracing the middle of the arch to frame the location.
This is a three image blend. Let me know what you think.

Here's a long exposure of a delightful sunrise. Even when they are not delightful, they are. Happy Holidays World and to my friends and loved ones, I hope to see more of you once we beat this pandemic.
Tidal water and run off from the rocks, created this small stream at low tide, which aligned with the sunset
