Turned the camera vertical here to focus on the neat rocks along the shoreline of Maine in the Schoodic Point area (part of Acadia National Park). Here the pre-sunrise light shines on the slippery wet rocks revealed at low tide.

Another slide restoration from 1973 and I got the colour back which was washed out. I think this was taken in Fall Creek Falls State Park, Tennessee.
We go back towards the rock formation Cinque Torri :)
Cinque Torri (in Italian: "Five Towers") comprise a small rock formation belonging to Nuvolao group in the Eastern Dolomites, south-west of Cortina d'Ampezzo. The group is formed by five rock towers with a maximum elevation of 2,361 m (Torre Grande). Cinque Torri, as all the other mountains in the area, are made of dolomite, with a pale grey colour. The towers are popular tourist destination and provide good rock climbing with various routes at a range of grades up all of the towers. In winter, Cinque Torri belong to an important ski area.

Idziemy z powrotem w kierunku grupy skał Cinque Torri :)
The Hopewell Rocks are rock formations caused by tidal erosion.
The world's biggest tides in the Bay of Fundy have caused the Hopewell Rocks to erode in spectacular fashion. Twice a day, the tides flush into the bay, rising as high as 16m, and flooding the base of Hopewell Rocks.
Captured on a new stretch of highway while driving home to Lancaster from our summer at Chautauqua. There was no place to stop so I took a chance, shot blind and used "Sports mode". Seemed to work well. (Car hood is in the lower right).
An early morning walk along the breakwall at Nambucca Heads, with natural light falling across the painted rocks.

Salty bushes and tufa after sunset.
Mono Lake is known for its tufa calcium carbonate rock formations that form underwater where springs bring calcium-rich water to the alkaline lake. In the fall the winds are less at Mono Lake, so sunsets tend to get calm. The alkaline waters of the lake are nearly 3X saltier then the ocean.
Captured while leading a seminar for the Mono Lake Committee in November 2019. Lori Hibbett and I will be leading another Mono Lake Moon Rise and Winter Light workshop at Mono Lake December 17-19, 2022.
After our visit to Emsworthy Barn on Sunday evening, we walked up the hill to Emsworthy Rocks for sunset. These rocks and tree have been photographed countless times, and often get confused for either Saddle Tor or Holwell Tor, in fact, they are between the two.
There was a lot of high cloud above us at sunset but unfortunately a huge bank of misty cloud further to the west snuffed out any chance of a nice pink sky. We ended up with a pretty dull grey sunset, but a little while after there was a hint of pink showing further to the South.
I've gone for a classic composition to include the colour in the sky, I originally had a different view lined up but didn't like how the sky looked.
Rock breakwater in Forum Beach, on the border between Sant Adrià de Besòs and Barcelona. Long exposure with neutral density filter to generate silk effect in water and clouds and calm sea.
