Summer starts a turn to fall with yellowing of leaves and less water. Thanks for looking and may your week be smooth.
The morning marine layer slowly lifts, revealing a scene abundant in bird and marine life as the Pigeon Point Lighthouse quietly surveys the action. It's been years since this old lighthouse has leant it's beams to guide the sailors home. But it's none-the-less for it's inactivity.

A long driveway running through the Stoneleigh Abbey estate used to pass over this bridge. The once single track Rocky lane to running to Ashow village used to run under it until a by-pass (A46) was constructed between it and Kenilworth in the early 1970s. It's now only accessed by foot via a footbridge apart from a small section at the Ashow end which is used as access to a private dwelling above and to the left of this bridge.
The path starts out in the right direction, but it would be a long walk to the Rocky Mountains hahaha. First you would pass the dark peaks in the background, "The Front Range", then the snow-capped peaks behind are about 65 miles from this walkway.
The building behind is a restaurant called "the rock". During high and normal tide it is only reachable by boat. That's why rockky is there.
Thanks for your visit and leave a comment, please.
Driving along Banff was a big pleasure enjoying the wonderful views. Really love the road trip through the mountains, pleased by the wildlife, lakes and forest. Attracted by a train passing through the mountains and lakes, could not help parking the car on the side of the road... The colorful train with lake and mountains as backdrop.

Stunted Autumn trees reach out to the sky along a rocky outcrop. A late afternoon sun tries to shine through wispy clouds, casting an eerie light on the cliff's edge.
