Here the team is working on the HEAT-2X

Motor fresh out of the packet - but date code indicated that it was from 2007. Motor popped on ignition - blowing both ends out. This was reported to Estes & replacement rocket kit supplied along with instructions for disposal of remaining two motors (as they are suspected bad)

The Titan's first and second-stage engines. The first stage generated 430,000 pounds of thrust and was designed to launch the thermonuclear weapon the first 50 miles into the air. The second-stage engine produced 100,000 pounds of thrust, sending the missile it as high as 250 miles at 17,000 mph.
