This robot was in a downtown Kalamazoo, MI store window in December 2001. It was so funny and so colorful as well as so different from anything I had ever seen before that I couldn't help taking a photo of it. I had traveled to Grand Haven, MI by myself (1st time I ever flew anywhere by myself) and my friend picked me up at the airport. The reason I had gone after only just being there in September with my husband was because an 11x14 matted and framed print of 1 of my South Haven, MI lighthouse photos was hung in a MI gallery's Christmas exhibit from the 1st week in November through just before Christmas. As it was a first for me and I couldn't be sure it would ever happen again, I wanted to be there for what they called the gallery hop which is held the first week of each month.

It was a Sunday when I took this photo and Gary wasn't picking me up until noon, so I had walked up from the bed and breakfast inn where I was staying to take some photos of downtown Kalamazoo, in particular the glass reflective building called the Standard Federal Bank Building. This was on my way there!

With over 500 matches played and more than 300 judging sessions on #NERD18, here's the top photos we've got from that day!

This was made possible through the efforts of 65 dedicated jury members, and IEEE Lebanon Section's support throughout the day.

I had a good friend here on Flickr who did a 365 project with a little blue robot from Playskool. His name was Tiny, the robot, not the friend. this shadow reminds me of Tiny's profile. Thank you Myra, "Palo" for all the fun adventures. I hope you are well and thriving.

I got my new robot in the mail yesterday from Paul over at Lockwasher Designs. I've been eagerly anticipating his arrival since I ordered him about a month ago. He was incredible to work with, and even to tried to tailor him for me by making him extra tall. (He comes in at about 15.5") If you're in the market for some cool, one-of-a-kind, robot sculptures I highly recommend him.

And yes, he's now the unofficial mascot of T Incorporated.

So I thought I'd try something different icing wise and tried a vienna cream icing recipe… well… it was okay… they would look much better if I had a piping doovey wacka. Call me boring but I would prefer regular "icing mixture & water" icing any day. It's much easier to work with and doesn't taste over the top & woha buttery.

May I introduce to you Bot Bot, a stuffed plush robot designed to be your very best friend.

Here are the specs of this most wonderful plushtronic device:

*The casing measures approximately 9"x7"x2.75" and is made of minky dot microfiber faux fur.

*The arms and legs measure approximately 6-7" long and are made of minky microfiber faux fur in a delightfully zany pattern. The antennae pole is also made of this same fabric, but it is shorter in stature, more like 2.5".

*The bolt on the antennae (handy for carrying!), the wrench-like hands (handy for holding!), and adorable little feet (awwww, look at 'em!) are made of wool felt. The facial features are wool felt as well. Bot bot is always happy to see you!

*Bot Bot features a 4" deep pocket for storing doodads, gizmos, and thingamajigs.
