The Automated Combat Unit Mod. R-Box was firstly deployed during the Khhutrys crisis [I invented the name while writing this, so if it resembles/reminds something else it’s a mere coincidence] to clear a path through the environmentally hostile mining caves in order to reach the pirates who seized the control of the local outpost.
The operation was a brilliant success and the R-Box model entered mass production shortly after. Nowadays the many variants of the R-Box Unit can be found across the entire Galaxy; from the military detachments escorting exploration missions to the security teams of research facilities.
The protagonist of this photo is a very interesting action figure called “Robox” and manufactured by Japanese 1000toys company. Unlike most of the figures available it is not based on some series but its an original character they made as first release in a line of Robot figures.
It can transform from a box shape to humanoid form, hence the name Robox, even though it requires several passages and I personally prefer keeping it in humanoid form.
It has a sort of minimalist design but it’s a very high quality item.
I will surely take more photos of this figure :)
Robot 61 (8”)
This little guy somehow won the hearts of more of my Flickr viewers than any who came before him. Just goes to show when you group a kitchen strainer, electrical wire terminal, 3/8" wrenches, TV knobs, spark plug sleeves, air duct, drawer pulls together you achieve...cute!
A Little Free Library made by Ritch Branstrom in front of his AdHocWORKshop in Rapid River. With apologies to all my librarian friends who know this is not really a library. Explored #43 on June 10, 2019.

One of my earliest creations that wasn't a rainbow warrior. I made this when I was 5, and gave it to my Mom as a present. It's been collecting dust on her desk, so I thought I would post it for the heck of it.
This is a scene during the robotics competition sponsored by the ECE department at BYU. Robots chased each other around the oval track to see which was the fastest.

ok, so I was daydreaming a bit at work one day, and looked at the photo booth pictures I have hanging in my cube, and this idea popped into my brain.
part of the eventual series of robot stitches.
I think this is one of my favorite things I've ever made.
Pattern for this available at www.etsy.com/shop/MrXStitch !!!
Tried to make a big robot with enough articulation to allow for some posing. Especially like how the head turned out.
I was thinking about selling this on Ebay. John and I took it to the studio and made a nice set-up for it with a big foam astroid that my friend Hunter made for a movie called Zero Prospect. We put a green light on it and shot this. The robot walks a few steps and the a little movie is projected on his chest. I ended up never listing it.

Dobar Robot
I'm not the best at making up names, so I'll say as it is... a robot dinosaur ...it's also been a while since I've made any formal robots
Functionality includes... movement in any possible way and my favorite bit... the legs are rubberband powered
best if viewed in lightbox
Confession time - I put a length of wire in the tail (I'm not patient enough to persuade flex to bend like this).
Isaac and I got a very unique opportunity through InnovaLUG, to build a series of Nutcrackers based off of the promotional Nutcracker set to aid in The LEGO Group’s advertising of the promotion. You can see that video on their Facebook page here. They needed 18 unique outfits for Nutcrackers built within a few weeks, and we jumped at the chance to do some building for the LEGO group.
This robot was based off of the clockwork robot LEGO produced, and is probably one of my favorites of the nutcrackers I built.

This mini miner has a drill for one arm, and a movable grabby-hand...thing. (What would I call that? :I ) The robot also has a small light to illuminate the underground darkness.
In the bustling metropolis of 3160 where's a robot to go when it needs to kick back? The Robot Recharge Room of course! With a range of quality power supplies installed and bottles of Blue Alcobot on tap there’s really no better place to rest those creaking metal joints.
Meet the cheeky robot, Titan! Sorry the quality isn't very good, I just couldn't get close! It was frustrating, as they'd fenced off a small area for the 8 foot robot, and we knew there was a crowd round him. I videoed a bit (to follow soon!) and when he seemed to have finished his 'show' we wandered around looking at the exhibition, ending up in the area he had been in. By then he had started to move around, and ended up not far from where we'd patiently been watching, so if we'd stayed where we were we probably could have got some better photos!!
These photos were just before he disappeared off for a break!
