I came across a business that uses robots to teach coding (programming) and electronics to children. Little Robot Friends is a not a shop but its window is decorated with robots made of scrap metals.

The movie "Avatar" was kind of the inspiration behind this one. I named it "Avatar" because of it's blank face. That name just seems to suit it perfectly. Well, that and it's inspired by the movie "Avatar". Did you think I would call it Robo-cop or something?
Alright, let's say your body is overflowing with cancer or you end up in a devastating car crash and you only have a short amount to time to live. Would you rather die or have your mind transfered into a new body and continue with your life? With this kind of technology, you could essentially live forever!
Basically, Your subconscious mind is transferred into the robot and the robot's appearance changes to reflect the subconscious mind that has been loaded. All of your memories and personality characteristics remain intact but instead of being flesh and blood, Your aluminum and oil.
These robots can be upgraded in many ways including job specific upgrades like stronger servo motors in the arm and leg joints for heavy lifting jobs. Even fire-proof alloy for firefighters and integrated parachutes for pilots. And when the robot is beyond repair or outdated, your mind can once again be transfered to a brand new robot.
Hang Tag from a toy purchased for my son in the early 1990's. No date, but the "robot hand" was made in Hong Kong. My son LOVED this toy. I loved the cool space designs so kept the tag.
Here is a cute little paper robot I assembled over lunch Friday. These little postcard paper models are designed by Monkey Design in Taiwan.
Kinda free-form birthday cake. Loosely based on a picture I'd seen on the internet. Took a looooong time.....
Scorpions have bad eyesight, and some just wait patiently for food to stumble in front of them. It can be a long wait. Some scorpions go a year between meals.
For our LEGO NXT robot scorpion, we used the ultrasonic sensor to sense the proximity of food, and it seemed appropriate to have it hunt in an infinite loop. (Short video)
