Primer prototipo del robot para la competiciĂłn

3ric called a meeting to hang out and work on robots. Good fun was had by all.

I got my new robot in the mail yesterday from Paul over at Lockwasher Designs. I've been eagerly anticipating his arrival since I ordered him about a month ago. He was incredible to work with, and even to tried to tailor him for me by making him extra tall. (He comes in at about 15.5") If you're in the market for some cool, one-of-a-kind, robot sculptures I highly recommend him.

And yes, he's now the unofficial mascot of T Incorporated.

Here are four robots who's objective has something to do with knocking red balls off a tall rack and catching them, maybe making a lap, and then putting them back on the shelf? Something like that!! It looked like a lot of fun!!

May I introduce to you Bot Bot, a stuffed plush robot designed to be your very best friend.

Here are the specs of this most wonderful plushtronic device:

*The casing measures approximately 9"x7"x2.75" and is made of minky dot microfiber faux fur.

*The arms and legs measure approximately 6-7" long and are made of minky microfiber faux fur in a delightfully zany pattern. The antennae pole is also made of this same fabric, but it is shorter in stature, more like 2.5".

*The bolt on the antennae (handy for carrying!), the wrench-like hands (handy for holding!), and adorable little feet (awwww, look at 'em!) are made of wool felt. The facial features are wool felt as well. Bot bot is always happy to see you!

*Bot Bot features a 4" deep pocket for storing doodads, gizmos, and thingamajigs.

The 4-H club held a robotics Expo at the local University this weekend.

This bot was to pick up things. Unfortunately, this object kept rolling away.

CoolerBot is built as an outdoor telepresence robot that is used for nature photography and surveillance. It is both rugged and waterproof and designed to stay outdoors for long periods of time. It was built using a 48-quart Coleman cooler and sports an infrared video camera, a Nikon digital SLR camera and two solar panels used to recharge the motor and logic batteries.
