Das wohl umstrittenste Werk des Festivals. Mir wär ein lebendiges Kaninchen auch lieber gewesen. Der Künstler wollte in Erinnerung rufen, wo Fleisch eigentlich herkommt, nämlich nicht aus eingeschweißten Plastikschalen, und zeigen, wie es früher beim Metzger aussah...

Tiere stehen im Zentrum der Kunst von ROA aus Belgien. Angezogen fühlt er sich vor allem von "gewöhnlichen" Tieren. Mit seinen riesengroßen Gemälden holt er Vögel, Ratten, Schweine und andere Tiere aus ihrem Nebendasein in den urbanen Raum.

Animals are the focus of ROA's art. The Belgian artist feels especially drawn to "common" animals. With the help of his tremendous paintings, he manages to vitalize birds, rats, pigs and other animals in the urban space.
