A recent drive along the backroads in Montana's Bitterroot Valley brought me to this scene which was just too pretty to ignore.

About 7 miles south of Wall, SD is the beginning of the Badlands Loop Road. Winter turned out to be a great time to visit as we almost had the place to ourselves.
This view is from just off the Fossil Exhibit trail, one of the many hiking trails in the park. Don't think I could have got this shot in the summer as I was more or less laying in the middle of road for a few minutes.
Our second day was cut short due to the dense fog. There was no more than a quarter mile of visibility which kind of ruined the view. Since there was no point in staying in the park, we decided to drive up to Iron Mountain Road hoping it would be clear enough to see Mount Rushmore. It wasn't looking promising until we got to Keystone where we finally started to see the sun and I was able to shoot a few pictures of the presidents. Will be posting those in the next few days.
I apologize to the purists for my processing but wanted to try a little artistic creativity on this one.
Segesta classical archealogical site, Sicily, taken from a somewhat unusual angle, the site seemed engulfed by busloads of tourists, I didn't feel like paying to battle selfie sticks, the view from here is probably the best anyway.
Almost 500 seconds on the road to Shkhara glacier with a view of Mt Shkhara, Ushguli, Geourgia.

I was shooting this photo: www.flickr.com/photos/santrywichita/25897888634/in/datepo... and this photo: www.flickr.com/photos/santrywichita/26394788692/in/datepo... which are on the same farm right off Haverhill road. There is a neat bridge you can barely see in the foreground that I am going to shoot soon when the light is right. I upped the clarity and put a reverse vignette (fade to white) for a slightly different effect. I love to ride bicycle and see this view on long rides and thus I love the way Kansas roads fade into infinity.
Early morning winter light, the road to Taranaki National Park, New Zealand, and the road photo means,
I will be offline until the end of this short little month, thanks for the faves and comments.
Old Section Bypassed Old Hwy 80, once a Mother Road, it now is slowly being reclaimed by nature.

The E483 class locomotive group n°051 "Sasha" by GTS Rail runs exeptionally alone from Savona to La Spezia, here in Corniglia station, Cinque Terre. In background, the village of Manarola.
