The latest 2010 Suzuki RMZ250 waits in the foreground while it's Supercross Championship winning cousin heals it's wounds in the background.

Photo of my bike and I just moments before a grueling extreme off road ride.

Time was limited as the other riders were ready to go. I quickly pulled out the mini tripod, sigma 10-20 and placed the camera on self timer to take multiple shots. This was one of the first shots as I walked over to the bike to begin warming her up.

Obviously too heavily processed for most, which is understandable, and others won't like the wide angle distortion. I personally appreciate photos that are bold, unique and not afraid to step out of the box.

My intention was to create a surreal image with bold contrasting use of shadows, highlights and colours. An emphasis has been placed on the rider even though the bike is the center focal point. By applying a different processing technique on the rider I have attempted to make him (me) appear 3 Dimensional. The wide angle lens has also contributed to the 3D effect.

Thanks for looking.
