I'm normally a cold water dweller. That's my happy place, my preference, and my real passion. But once in a while, I venture out to see how things fare in warmer climes. And not gonna lie. It hurts the soul, in a way. It's a veritable paradise above water, and purgatory underneath.
This should have been incredibly colorful. An alien landscape of incomprehensible vivacity. And don't get me wrong, it's still very much alive; those corals are not dead, and while they're struggling, they still provide refuge to an astounding variety of life too.
But it's all so fragile.
The Bedford RL was the British military's main medium lorry (truck), built by Bedford Vehicles, from the mid-1950s until the late 1960s. They superseded the Bedford OY.
The Bedford RL was based on on the Bedford SCL, a civilian 7-ton truck. The military version had all wheel drive and bigger wheels to increase ground clearance. Originally conservatively rated at 3 tons, all RL GS (general service) trucks in British Military service were, at a late stage in their service lives, re-rated at 4 tons without any mechanical modifications; the weight referring to its rated cross country payload weight. The last RL rolled off the production line in the early 1970s, and all together a total of 74,000 being produced.
The RL was powered by a 4.9 litres (299.0 cu in) petrol engine producing 110 brake horsepower (82 kW; 112 PS), although some were fitted with diesel engines.
Happy Truck Thursday!
"To forget would be not only dangerous but offensive; to forget the dead would be akin to killing them a second time." — Elie Wiesel
I can never walk by without a cruel catch in my throat.
I've watched this little fellow wander around the wall for about an hour. And being a general "bug" enthusiast and particularly a beetle enthusiast, I felt the need to share this useless piece of information.
I fucking hate Harlequin ladybugs.
Nevertheless, it was fun to watch. Before sending this guy on a merry airborne journey off the balcony.
It's been an annual family ritual for the past 15 or so years that we get a break from winter with a spot of sunshine and ocean. Not that there has been any sunshine for the past two weeks, but in the absence of good weather for beach walks, getting lost in the meandering city alleys is a nice alternative.

I just saw someone blogged some similiar furniture pieces in SL that I own in RL at my home and one of them is this aged old indian cupboard that I just have to share.
As much I enjoy to decor/ landscaping in SL,in RL I'm just equal in my mood and aquired taste in collecting selected vintage, robust and beautiful aged findings❤
This is an important notice to all my friends, readers and sponsors.
I've been so busy at work (RL) that I don't even have had time to write this notice before. My deepest apologies.
It has been impossible to me to log in SL during the last month, so sadly I haven't been able to release new stuff for my shop {Label Motion}, as well as participate in events & work on my blog.
I’m finally on vacation! My holidays have just started and in a few hours I will be traveling with my friends, so I'll be missing from SL until next week. I really need a break! I'll be back as soon as the trip is over.
Thank you all so much for your patience and understanding.
See you in a few days!
Much love,
anne Dakun ♥
...made a pinhole in a paper plate --the sun catcher is hanging on the window of my back door. It didn't get completely dark but you could really sense the change... the tiny eclipse shadow is to the left...the small crescent light shape...
and well, I've been neglecting my Flickr because I've been working on a new house...
