This is Craig Pass in Yellowstone National Park. The Craig Pass Bridge fords Isa Lake. It is also the Continental Divide. It's a unique lake and the only natural lake in the world to flow into two oceans. It flows into the Atlantic and Pacific Ocean. One other lake does this but it is a manmade lake. The Lower Yellowstone River Falls in Yellowstone National Park. This is from Lookout Point. People can be seen on the Brink of Lower Yellowstone Falls at the scenic overlook at the top right of the falls. They look tiny but they're there. These falls are higher than Niagara Falls but not as wide. This is close to Canyon Village where they have restaurants and lodging. The walk to Lookout Point is short there are some stairs though. To me this is the highlight of Yellowstone National Park. The Upper and Lower Yellowstone Falls are only a couple miles apart. If you're in good shape you can venture down into the canyon on Uncle Tom's Trail. It's 328 steps down the .4 mile trail and a 500 foot drop. It leads to a viewing platform just below the Upper Yellowstone Falls and gives a beautiful view of the falls from inside the canyon. The Snake River at Oxbow Bend in Grand Teton National Park in September. This was taken next to Colter Bay Village on a day trip from Yellowstone National Park. The two parks are right next to each other. This is about 45 minutes from Grant Village. All the villages in the park are about a 45 minute drive apart. They were stagecoach stops long ago to change horses or spend the night. A walk between the North American and Eurasian Tectonic Plates in Iceland. It's also the northern end of the Mid-Atlantic Ridge. This is part of the iconic rift valley on The Golden Circle. It's where Iceland's parliament (Althing) started meeting in 930. The light rain had broke just before I got there which was enough to keep the crowds down. The Lander Lockhouse and lock 29 of the C&O Canal National Historic Park. The painted white brick house was built in 1836. The towpath on the right is popular for hiking, jogging and biking. It's at the 51 mile mark of the towpath which is 185 miles long from Cumberland MD to Washington D.C. Many bicyclist make this two to three day trip. Watching the sunset in Sint Maarten / Saint Martin from Maho Beach's Sunset Bar & Grill. I called the rock "Iguana
rock" but I don't know if it survived the hurricane. The gazebo definitely didn't. The Sonesta Maho Resort where the gazebo is received heavy damage from the huricane. They were in the process of repairing or rebuilding it last I checked. This is a great spot to watch the sunset and the ships heading to sea.
