Corcovado is the highest peak directly above Botafogo. Along its waterfront are the Rio de Janeiro Yacht Club and Botafogo Beach. The Sugarloaf cable car station atop Morro da Urca is in the lower left-hand corner in the greenery.
This is the view from Dona Marta belvedere, at the center, the Sugar Loaf montain, which is at the mouth of the Guanabara Bay.
Today we are celebrating the 440th anniversary of Rio.
It has all the reasons for being called "The Marvelous City!"
