I used a collage of an old photo and sheet music and then layered one of my linocuts over the top. I then added some color by hand.
This little girl has such a charming expression on her face. I don't know what inspired me to detach her head and float it above her body like a balloon, but it adds a lot of whimsy and raises some interesting comments!
Most people love her. My husband says she freaks him out!
This is Albert my ringmaster. His hands, feet and head are sculpted poly clay and his body is cloth over wire. His clothes are all hand made (including his hat) and his boots are real leather.
He is part of my circus display.
The RingMasters of the Circus, a.k.a. The Lords of the Ring. Anstr and Chris were the first people to run the MMT trail in its entirety after it was completed. The Ring is a labor of love for them...and a damn good time.They provide all the aid and excellent support, as well as an opportunity for ultrarunners to take on a serious challenge.
