No, I'm not dreaming of a white Easter.....
This shot was taken on the campus of the Louhelen Baha'i Retreat and Conference Center in Davison, Michigan last Sunday, November 3rd. The temperature had dropped overnight, resulting in frost on my windshield that morning and rime-edged plant leaves. I wish I'd had my tripod with me and more time for shooting before that morning's meeting.

Frozen fog on the landscape made for a great afternoon of exploring rural Sarpy County. These two outbuildings by themselves and the fence are frequent subjects of mine, but never from this angle.

This photo was taken last autumn on a cold and foggy morning. Hopefully I will find something similar this year as well.
There was a beautiful rime frost on everything in the valley when I went down to work yesterday. When I finally got a chance to slip away from the lab to take some pictures, the sun came out, lit it up brilliantly, and quickly melted the frost away.
Cold winter fog has left a layer of rime ice on just about everything.
