Top of the Sea Swing ride at the Santa Cruz boardwalk. Though I enjoy riding roller coasters, I learned from a young age that amusement park rides that spin in circles like this give me motion sickness, so I don't ride on them.
There would have been perhaps 80 motorcycles at the Launceston Cenotaph for this morning's ANZAC Day Dawn Service. They belong to members of The Vietnam Veterans and Veterans Motor Cycle Club of Tasmania: www.facebook.com/pages/category/Community-Organization/Vi...
After the service these guys have two solid traditions: (1) Have a nip of rum, and then (2) Ride off to the local Returned Services Leagues Club for breakfast together. Here the first three riders make their getaway in the early morning light.
[By the way in this post-dawn light and that speed, even at ISO 2000, I was not going to freeze this action.]

This tractor ride was offered as a slow alternative to the spinning amusement rides set up at Wilkerson Farms in Orem, Utah.
Black Clydesdale
Sweet, playful and beautiful, this wee girl is a relatively new addition to my friends’ small herd.
Here, a few minutes previously, I had been in the field as a passenger on my friend’s quad bike when he shouted, “Hold on, tight!” He let out the throttle and we flew up and around the field...with three incredibly beautiful Black Clydesdales galloping behind us! I wish someone had had a video camera to hand! Amazing, exhilarating experience...
When these horses see me, they know I have apples and pears for them, so they are always very keen to welcome me. So thrilling! So beautiful!

“True, you ride the finest horse,
I’ve eve seen,
Standing 16 1” or 2”
With eyes wild and green.”
“Ride On” - Christy Moore
This stationary steed near the East end of the Helix bridge on 15th Avenue West is simply too special to ride with the rest of the herd on the holiday carousel in the West Lake plaza! :D

On your next visit to Launceston take a trip down memory lane. You can book a ride on this historic last tram in Launceston. The small track takes you around the rapidly developing university and arts precinct at Inveresk. It is staffed by dedicated volunteer enthusiasts.
There is nothing more exciting than having your first ride in a hot air balloon. By the look on this women's face, I do believe it probably was here first ride! :-)
More than half of all trips in the US are less than 3 miles. Do you really need a SUV or a pickup truck to travel 3 miles? Surely a bicycle ride would be so much more enjoyable. No traffic jams. No having to hunt for parking. And how stylish!
Of course, just you riding a bike isn't going to stop climate crisis. But one thing for sure: you're not making it worse like everyone else driving diesel pickup trucks and gas guzzling cars and SUVs.
This one was just a quick snap shot through a fence and has not been edited in any way, but there is just something about it that I like so decided to share.
