I saw this poster on a subway car, and I thought it was very nice and showing many of the attractions of Toronto, such as Royal Ontario Museum (ROM), Art Gallery of Ontario (AGO), Chinatown, Kensington Market, Zoo, Yonge Street, St. Lawrence Market, Distillery District, Queen's Park, OCAD University, CN Tower, City Hall and Nathan Phillip's Square, Queen Street West, Old City Hall, The Beach, Roger's Centre, Church Street, Honest Ed, High Park, and Lake Shore.
A Canada creek train at the old and now closed Thorpe Farm station,
An 'Old West' style locomotive, with a traditional tender and cowcatcher, provides transport on the Canada Creek Railway. Although it looks like a steam engine it is actually powered by diesel. The Canada creek railway used to link the main island of Thorpe Park up with the Thorpe Park Farm which was located on the far side of the lake. The ride has these blue and yellow coloured trains that also went around the whole of Canada Creek on the return journey, which was (and still is) the only way you can see Loggers Leap without going on the ride.
You can no longer travel to Thorpe Farm, the ride now just goes round Canada Creek. The farm is now closed permanently. All of the animals have been moved to Chessington.

Today I took the AATA Route 7 bus from the Blake Transit Center on William Street to the Busch's on the corner of Main and Ann Arbor-Saline Road to buy my last groceries of the summer. At this point I"ve bought food on so many Sundays that I have the whole damn schedule down: I walk from my house to my bank's ATM, from the bank to the transit center, and take the :18 bus to the grocery store, where I spend about fifteen minutes collecting my groceries, and twenty minutes meandering around wasting time in the air conditioning before taking the :04 bus back to the city. The only variables are the numbers I put in front of those two times -- when I'm on top of things it's 12:18 or 1:18; when I'm not it's more like 3:18 or 4:18. Today I woke up with my game face on and was totally set to catch the 1:18 southbound, but I ran into a couple of friends and missed the bus by thirty seconds. My old nemesis chit-chat strikes again. This is a picture of Fourth Ave., looking south from Washington Stree. The building on the east side of the street is the post office/federal bulding; the bus depot is visible directly behind it.
