Free range Spanish pigs that enjoy a diet of foraged acorns. The Iberico ham is most famous but I discovered these baby back ribs which are exquisite. Cannot be prepared like ordinary ribs, they'll be ruined - no complex rubs, no sauce; just salt and pepper with a light sprinkling of garlic, jalapeĂąo, and balsamic vinegar, then smoked for only two hours instead of the usual 4-5.

The Gothic rib vault was one of the essential elements that made possible the great height and large windows of the Gothic style. It was made of diagonal crossing arched ribs. These ribs directed the thrust outwards to the corners of the vault, and downwards via slender colonettes and bundled columns, to the pillars and columns below.
Remains of a wooden ship buried in the sand at Banna, Kerry. Looks like the rib cage of a whale to me.
