Sunday Cocktail Hour: Reverse Manhattan #cocktailrobot -•- The aforementioned cheesecake warranted a fancy drink to go with it. I can’t do big spirit-forward cocktails everyday. Also, I have this bottle of Punt e Mes that I’ve been adoring. So, let’s do a Reverse Manhattan (i.e. more vermouth than rye) and use the Punt es Mes in the role of the vermouth. Punt e Mes is a red vermouth with a little punch of herbal bitterness - basically. You could use whatever red vermouth that you have of course. I prefer the reverse to the original. I like (good) vermouth. I like a slightly lower ABV. -•- 2 oz. red Vermouth (used Punt e Mes) 1 oz. Rye (thanks! :) ) dashes of orange bitters. -•- Stir with ice. Strain. Garnish. I have a bit of gum syrup left and should have used that. Oh well.
