I was trying to get the Grass in the water drops to be in focus... but I hadn't slept in 3 days and took the picture the second the sun hit the flower... I was really tired and keeping my balance was more than a challenge...

Reverse macro - 55mm/2.8f Rikenon lens held up to a Nikon 50mm 1.8f on a d50.
Shot with a reverse mounted 18-55 kit lens. Made a hole in the body cap and fixed a conversion ring to it to get a reverse lens adapter.
Yesterday I was reading the flickr blog entry about Reverse Lens Photography (http://blog.flickr.net/en/2010/05/07/turn-your-lenses-upside-down/) and got inspired to put together my Canon 70-200mm L 4f with my Tamron 28-200mm 3.8-5.6 and this is one of the results.

This is one of the first shots I took when my reversing ring came in the mail. Not a perfect shot but I think I will have a lot of fun with macro on the cheap.
Of course, Tatters had to come see what I was doing.
Taken with a kit EF-S 18-55mm lens reversed and hand held in front of body.
A thing on a tree which does... I don't know what. Involves needles, however.

Identification
Cockroaches in the Ellipsidion genus are more attractively marked than the despised introduced cockroaches commonly seen in and around the house. This species has tan and brown markings.
