Ra was the God of the Sun. He sailed across the heavens in a boat called the 'Barque of Millions of Years'. At the end of each day Ra was thought to die and sailed on his night voyage through the Underworld, leaving the Moon to light the world above. The boat would sail through the twelve doors, representing the twelve hours of night-time. The next dawn, he was born again.

Revenge of the Mummy Ride @ Universal Studios Theme Park by Vagabond Rhythm

I absolutely LOVED this ride. Totally unexpected movement, fast and atmospheric. It doesn't last long, but it's real thrill and leaves you laughing at the end. Wish I could have gone on it a few more times. The terrible thing is that they used to have a great E.T. ride that simulated the bicycle ride that was good for kids that they took away and replaced with this. Dang, I was looking forward to the E.T. ride. My son loved the Back to the Future ride though.

A roller-coaster ride in the Universal tour lot based on the Mummy films.

Captured at the start of the ride, Kevin and Ben look worried or terrified. I look to have a beatific smile on my face. It's not so. Yes, they were worried, but I was PETRIFIED! You have no idea how much I hate these rides and how frightened I actually was the whole time :-) I was holding on for dear life with my eyes closed thinking "it'll stop soon, really, it will". At that point, the thing went into reverse. How I look as if I'm enjoying it is one of the universe's greatest mysteries.

I think overall I like Universal Studios Hollywood better then Orlando...however, the Hollywood Mummy doesn't come close to the Orlando Mummy!

This is a relatively new attraction which replaced the King Kong ride. Though this roller coaster ride lasts only three minutes, it's one of the most intense ones I've ever ridden, with a top speed of 72 km/h.
