As usual, my photographical yield of the past year is a colorful mix ((literally) ) of different genres. I can't decide on one to specialize in, but just love the challenge to move in the full bandwidth between ultrawide and supertele focal lengths, to capture static and fast moving subbjects 😄
Thank you so much for your support, inspiration and friendship to share our common passion and hobby! 🙏🙏
I really enjoy and appreciate being part of this wonderful global "family" which I feel like it's an island of peace in this troubled world.
Besides birds, butterflies were a main subject this year. I learned that if you to go to their sleeping places before sunrise, they are motionless and won't fly away even if you get very close.
This year I have uploaded 191 images. Looking at them I had a hard time to identify my "best" (favorite) shots. So I thought I would present the most faved images (left to right, top down). A few of them have been picked as cover photos or pic of the day etc.
For those who interested in the full versions - see this album.

Dear friends, I would like to thank you so much for your support, inspiration and friendship to share our common passion and hobby! The regular exchange with you really means a lot to me, and for me there is nothing like this on other platforms. Long live Flickr! 😊
May the New Year be filled with health, love, peace, happiness, joy and creativity for you! ❤️
A little detail shot of my Fujifilm X100V - hard to think this is a new camera and its design is obviously inspired by its predecessors! Which of course is very much part of its charm!

Bryan Street townhouses were part of the eastside expansion wards in 1799. Washington Square has some of the oldest structures in Savannah, having not been built prior to the devastating fire of 1796, which burned down most of the wooden structures in the central wards.

Very particular plumage changes occur before a juvenile bald eagle turns into a fully developed adult (a roughly 3 year period). I think this eagle is a pre-adult (2 1/2 years +) . Correct me if I’m wrong - it looks different than all juvenile bald eagles I've seen so far.
The shot was taken at sunset.
