This is the Gift of the Magi told anew. As this story was told to me, it continues on.
We each have choices in life, responsibility to our selves, to our family, to our society, to our planet, and our higher beliefs.
There is a real war going on, this part is not metaphor... it is a war for the hearts and minds of the people around you.
Who wins? Who loses?
I seek peace. I have not intentionally hurt anyone. My path is truth and creativity.
I am not a leader, nor a follower. I just want to bring art into the world and tell interesting stories about a world half remembered in dreams that may or may not be just outside your window...

This is a very special commission.
Danielle G from Portland saw my work last year at NorWesCon and told me she wanted to commission something made with a piece of her skull and an heirloom from her grandfather in it, but then the months passed and I never got the stuff in the mail, and eventually forgot about it.
Then, this year at NorWesCon, she came up to me out of the blue with a baggie carrying an antique gold watch fob end and a triangular shard of bone that was extracted from her!
I was really excited to be able to work with such personal items, so I wanted to build something unique and interesting for her, and I hope this necklace is it.
The shard of skull is kept behind the window of the pendant section, and the window is hinged to open to allow one access.
