Here you see a candy despencer shaped like a UFO. I think I picked it up at a gas station during a business trip. It has those little hard sour tart candies in it. Move a slider on the side and a candy pops out of a small opening below. Also, there is a pull-cord that, when released, causes the little UFO to vibrate.

Above this is a small digital clock thingy which was designed to also count down to New Years 2000, or to any other date you wanted it to count down to. They were giving them out at Radio Shack in the 1990s if you got a Sprint cell-phone from them, or something of the sort. It's Astro, from the Jetsons, on what looks like a treadmill.

Behind this is a container with some old 5.25" floppies in it, from my Radio Shack Color Computer days.

On Friday 16 May 2014, we stepped back and forward in time as Museum Lates: Retro-future took us on a steam-powered journey through our collections, from iconic designs of the past to cutting edge technology of the future. Hosted by Radio 1's Vic Galloway, the night included performances from Lord Holyrude and Withered Hand, along with a whole host of other events.

A classic Saurian Wingdriver. They just don't make them like this anymore. The Spinarrian Thrusters on these might not be the fastest, but they'll still give you the smoothest ride this side of Planaria 5.

The action hero character in purple in Robbie Perchaluk's painting has the same mustache as the artist.

This piece is in the Jib Blog about Retro Future Art Show at Hashtag Gallery that happened Thursday 3rd July 2014. On that night fifteen artists displayed fifty paintings in an open show that explored 'the future that never was.'

this is a winged fight-pack for a 28 inch tall ball jointed doll made for artist Emma Viecelli. Check out her fantastic work here: emma.sweatdrop.com/

She commissioned me to make this device although she left the design open to me. She also had me design and create a mini Ambience Enhancer type wrist device and two pairs of goggles, which were all posted in my photo stream a couple days ago.

This is a set of little rocketship toys they offered for kids a few years back. The dome tops come off (with the character(s) sealed inside) and are actually... well... tops. The spinning kind. You wind the thing up, with the top attached, by turning the top around and around (I think it was), mash a button on the bottom with the rocket pointed down at the floor or a tabletop, and the "dome" pops off and lands, spinning rapidly.

I've got them here mainly as bric-a-brac, and because I love retro-future sci-fi stuff.

Oh yeah, and the object you see the top of in the front is a USB-powered AM/FM radio shaped like a vintage studio mic.

From here we started
