This photo used to be on my profile and a number of people have asked me about it. I do not own this car, sigh. It is a 1948 Buick Streamline concept car, meaning only one built.
After some research, I found:
- The car was built by a reknowned mechical engineer, Norman E. Timbs.
- It took him 2.5 years to complete it.
- The entire project cost $10K , with $8k for the hand-formed aluminum body
- Discovered surprisingly intact in the desert in 2002, original restoration completed in 2010.
