"Highland Retreat" is an idyllic Scottish island perfect for relaxation. With picturesque landscapes, cozy cottage and hidden secrets, it offers a peaceful escape from daily life. Ideal for nature lovers and tranquility seekers.
Not a bad place to self-isolate! We have been at the cottage now for 11 months with occasional quick visits to Halifax for essential services not available locally.

It's a beautiful sim, and perfect for photos. They also allow temp rezzing if you join the Escape to Imagination group (free!), which makes it a super nice place for couples shots, and shots with props.

When you have just spent a week relaxing in a place like this, it is hard to spend time behind the computer to catch up on everyone’s images on Flickr. Our weather is still great at home so I stay outdoors as much as I can. We had a wonderful time camping and taking pictures in this northern Ontario park. The evening light warmed the heart on the cooler days. The air was that perfect fall freshness and crispness without feeling like winter is on the way.
I planned to spend some time with this great find and fine-tune my composition, moving further to the left and lower to the water.
Unfortunately, I was sinking in the salt /mud. After this shot, I was up to my ankles and had difficulty pulling my boot out. I leaned on my tripod for support, and it quickly sank one leg section deep.
I freed myself, gave up on additional compositions, and retreated to more stable ground.
GPS is not the exact spot of the shot.

A retreat where mystics from the realm of plenty gather to drink and share the year’s trials…
Best viewed large.
Coastal retreat. Tis so often true that the best days begin and end on the beach and with the company of family and loved ones those days can last a lifetime sewn deep into your heart........During these tough times with restrictions in place we each still have the power to dream and hopefully in time to be able to pursue our dreams. All it takes is a believe that they can come true and the strength and conviction to make them..A dream can make life worth living and our dreams are what can get us through even the worst of days.....
This caravan is on The Ross road on the SIte of Arran. It's next to and presumably a part of the Samye Dechen Shing Buddhist retreat centre. A part of my new Erratic set, please visit!

"Peace does not mean the suppression of all differences, but their coexistence and fruitful collaboration. Peace does not consist in one man, one party, one nation, crushing and dominating everyone else. Peace exists where men who have the power to be enemies are, instead, friends by reason of the sacrifices they have made in order to meet one another on a higher level, where the differences between them are no longer a source of conflict.”

NS 278 thunders past the depot at Rural Retreat just before midnight with about 11k feet of train in tow. One of my all time favorite railroad photographers, O. Winston Link inspired this image. This angle has been on my bucket list for years after viewing his work and visiting his museum in Roanoke.
✨ Final Curtain Call at Tranquil Toes Retreat ✨
Darlings, foot lovers and other kinksters,
it is with a delicate sigh and an air of mystery that I announce the closing of Tranquil Toes Retreat as of December 1st. Yes, the whispers of time have caught up with us, and for now, our haven of soothing bliss will slip into the shadows.
But don’t mistake this for a goodbye. It’s only a suspenseful pause... perhaps a brief interlude, or a grand return in another chapter. Who can say? The future is a tantalizing enigma, as fleeting as the ripples in a warm foot bath.
For those who’ve graced our sanctuary, I invite you to indulge one last time before we close the doors, perhaps with a knowing smile — you never know what may come next.
Thank you for your loyalty, your serenity, and the moments of luxurious indulgence we've shared.
Until we meet again... or perhaps not.
Stay fabulous

The terminus of Jorge Montt Glacier was almost impossible to approach due to the disintegrating ice that created a large area of slush and growlers at the ice face. Raindrops dot the tiny bit of open water in the foreground. South Patagonia Icefield, Patagonia.
