He's a fish vendor! Sleeping like he hasn't slept for years! Under this HOT sun everything us burning....
I treasure the 14 years we had together and the happiness we shared. I will see you at the Rainbow Bridge.
This Robberfly would have possibly just devored his meal and was resting on the cactus leaf! As misconceived often, the robber fly does not have a sting in the tail, as the pointed thing at the end of the tail is just a oviposter for the ladies to lay eggs and the males to stab their sperms into the ladies. The real danger is in the modified proboscis that acts like a strong syringe injecting venom into the prey! They are capable of handling prey larger than their own size, as well as the dangerous varieties such as the bees and wasps.

A lone goose taking a rest in a small pond. Romberg park in Dortmund has a lake running through it’s centre. Off to one side however is a much quieter, smaller pond which birds seem to rest in. This was the first time both with this lens and shooting birds, so I’m pleased I managed to get a some what in focus shot!
How I am hooked to photography nowadays. Everything for me is a great subject. I am roving the company premises when I spotted so many flies at the open space at the back.
It catches my interest as I think those flies has just landed from a long flight and rested on the leafs of the Cogon Grass. So thankful, that they are very cooperative during my photoshoot. I shoot more than a hundred shots and only this handful of shoots that passed my criteria of a good photo.
What I like most of this photos is the DOF (Depth of Field). And the good thing is this was taken by a kit lens 18-55mm. Some may say that a kit lens is not good, but in this photo I want to show you that a kit lens really capture a very nice DOF.
"Rest is not idleness, and to lie sometimes on the grass under trees on a summer's day, listening to the murmur of the water, or watching the clouds float across the sky, is by no means a waste of time." View LARGE
Despite all the nicks and scars, Kryssy is still the most beautiful creature on earth in my eyes.
We've had a busy weekend of gardening and all deserve a rest - plus the hounds need to conserve themselves for next Saturday's Greyhound Extravaganza at Newmarket, as well as our BBQ and greyhound sleepover party.
