Just a shot of a bench which I was sitting on during a short walk with my camera, just enjoying the last sunlight from that day. I used my Nikkor 50mm from the 70's, I like this lens a lot and I sure have to use it more often but it's also very hard to shoot with it because my D40 has no metering and auto focus at all with this lens. But it's giving me a lot of satisfaction too when a shot comes out good.
How I am hooked to photography nowadays. Everything for me is a great subject. I am roving the company premises when I spotted so many flies at the open space at the back.
It catches my interest as I think those flies has just landed from a long flight and rested on the leafs of the Cogon Grass. So thankful, that they are very cooperative during my photoshoot. I shoot more than a hundred shots and only this handful of shoots that passed my criteria of a good photo.
What I like most of this photos is the DOF (Depth of Field). And the good thing is this was taken by a kit lens 18-55mm. Some may say that a kit lens is not good, but in this photo I want to show you that a kit lens really capture a very nice DOF.
We stopped for a rest inside New York, New York in Las Vegas across from Gonzalez Y Gonzalez. I enjoyed a frozen margarita after this was taken.

Anybody out there who's ever looked in my collections will not be surprised to learn my computer desktop is full of two-million folders I've created over the years to hold things I didn't want to sort right away. I've wound up with folders inside folders inside folders of chaos, nested folders running ten or twenty deep full of random Word files or internet memes or pictures I've copied for some project or another that I never got to. A week or so ago, I started a project to organize it all and clean out all the duplicates, and I've come across several albums marked "To Post" that I never posted. This picture was in seven of them, so I'm posting it now.
I took this in Wyoming in 2017 during the Weather Trip, at a rest area somewhere south of Sheridan. I'd meant to go take a look at the view, but I didn't want to wake that guy up. I meant to post this eight years ago, but never got around to it.
The Weather Trip was full of mishaps, but looking back, it ranks high among my favorite trips.

Stopping for a quick break, with a group of 14 other dirt bikers, riding the trails north of Mt Lemmon. This ride was particularly fast and incredibly enjoyable, I liken in to an 8 hour intense yoga meditation session. I was sore for 3 days after.
