For Monochrome Bokeh Thursday! I found a bunch of these when I stopped to stretch my legs at a Rest Stop in Glenwood Canyon along I-70 on my return trip from Western Colorado. Such interesting wildflowers (or weeds to some) don't you think?

Lit with a single speedlight top left set to manual, zoomed into 100mm, at 1/2 powerand fired with the canon IR remote trigger.
Subsequent images had a reflector to camera left to reduce the shadows in his face but I'd missed the moment and he started crying so will try this again in the future.

It's a resting place where you have a great look into the upper danube valley near Beuron.

La tour du XIVe siècle est tout ce qui reste d’une église cruciforme gothique qui a été détruite pendant la guerre de Quatre-Vingts Ans (vers 1600). Lorsque la ville disposait encore d’un port au 14ème siècle, la tour servait également de phare. L’église était dédiée à Sainte Anne, la mère de Marie.
Sur le côté sud, une église réformée a été ajoutée en 1653 et a reçu le statut de monument national en 1973. Entre 2013 et 2014, elle a été restaurée et est utilisée pour des activités locales, des mariages et des cérémonies.

"On 29 October 2010 the vessel is reported as in distress 100 miles off the Scilly Isles having lost both masts in gale force winds and heavy seas. It was on a 3 and a half month cruise from the Netherlands to the Caribbean with 47 crew aboard including 36 trainees aged 14 years. Although there was an engine the ship's master was unwilling to use it for fear of trailing debris snagging on the propellor. There were no reported injuries. The ship was towed into the sheltered waters of Falmouth Bay after 100 miles and 3 days on tow by a small fishing trawler the Nova Spero; who's Captain, Shaun Edwards answered the mayday call."

This ship is grounded in a beach near Gythion, in Laconia, Greece.
We have this little pond behind our home ... we call it Serenity Lagoon. Often we have big birds like this Great Blue Heron visit and pose for me ... no modeling fee😑. Lighting was right so I couldn’t refuse.
Nowhere is the connection between the living and the dead as close as in Tanah Toraja, Indonesia. Caves and overhanging cliffs are repositories for the remains of ancestors. It is such an interesting place that we had to return for a second time.

The architect explains: "The built scheme comprises three rectangular structures. Formed externally by blind walls and internally by colonnades with burial recesses, these structures enclose a series of interlocking garden courtyards. Different courtyards are designed for burials, cremations or ossuaries, and are defined by varying sizes and a diverse but harmonious range of materials. The walls are clad in basalt and pietra d’Istria – two types of stone commonly used in Venice – inlaid with texts from the Gospels, while the internal colonnades are formed from dark grey concrete."
