here before - at the North Hollywood
weekly Sunday morning
Farmer's Market - this time he
consented on the condition that
he do something different besides
just stand still. His decision
was to pose with a sprig of
asparagus - healthy, ripe asparagus
at a reasonable price -
which is what he did, with the
Asparagus man smiling behind
him, having driven there in
a truck of asparagus very very
early on a Sunday morning
becoming Sunday all the way
from the San Joaquin Valley.

Let's toast together.
and for the record I only started with two glasses and then moved to the bed very slowly. and slept very dreamily ( a flea-less dream) until I was awoken by thunder that reminded me that my vac was on the front porch.
damn fleas.
Met him at Philipe's in
downtown L.A., on Mother's Day
2008, where we went to celebrate
in this L.A. institution where you
can get fantastic breakfasts,
amazing french dipped sandwiches
and an amazingly -
a 9 cent cup of coffee. And good
coffee!
And there he was
in the happy midst of it -
looking as if he'd come from
church and now was about to
enjoy some earlthly delights -
and happy as were most happy
people in this happy place-
he kindly consented and lit
up the room with his smile.
